Karisa

Karisa is a Canadian pop artist from Etobicoke, Ontario, whose sound lives at the intersection of nostalgia and modern pop. Drawing inspiration from 80’s synth-pop, late 90’s dance music, and emotionally honest songwriting, her music channels a sense of longing and cinematic romance.

Her songs revolve around strong hooks, lush production, and introspective lyrics. As stated by Earmilk  "She seamlessly blends the timeless allure of 1980s synth melodies with the high-energy beats of early 2000s EDM, resulting in a genre-defying soundscape that will leave audiences spellbound."

With a growing catalogue of original music and visuals, Karisa continues to carve out a distinct sonic identity that balances vulnerability with pop-polish.

Karisa grew up surrounded by music and art, and started to pursue her music career while studying for her Bachelors Degree. She personifies 1980's glam-rock  and the femme fatale image, creating a distinct sound and vibe.

Karisa successfully hosted an art and music event 'Paradise Hotline' in July of 2025. This was an independent project with the goal of bringing together different visual artists alongside her first headlining performance. 

She is currently working on new music, with an upcoming release "Electric Poison" scheduled for this Spring.
